RE:Cannabis and WEED Coming Around

RE:Cannabis and WEED Coming Around
Hey Opt, while we disagree on things re where things are at, we both agree todays value is cr@p and not a time to dump.... Me I haven't purchased much in the way of 7 acres since the deal. I have grabbed a couple wappa 49 to try but none of the others nor any pre-rolls. In addition the few folks I have spoken with are jaded about it too. They, like me, enjoy 7 acres but despise Tweed as a company. Do you think peoples disdain for Tweed will hinder their growth? They are corporate cannabis. They will make money eventually? with the Martha Stewart crowd but how much will that enable them to get where they believe they will? If marketing works the 50 years younger crowd want what Dr Greenthumb is serving up....  Outside of product knowledge I do not buy Tweed nor will I be starting. I did try DOJA strain a while ago as it came to Ontario but meh nothing I will miss. I like supporting small companies personally. Many people who consume cannabis do as well. Sure there are some who don't care but with cannabis 'support local' is pretty hardcore.  So Tweed:

1- Screwed medical patients over 6+ months by withholding available supply while gearing up for legalization. Told med clients that more is coming in a few weeks - and again and again and.... People remember this stuff. Yes a small group of people but medical patients! Are all 'medical'? Who knows to what extent but there are definitely MS and cancer patients in that group.

2- Sell scentless weed and advertised like it is a good thing. This is weed that was deemed to be at the very least at risk of mould exposure to my understanding. So they do something to the plant. Irridation of sorts? Anyhow scentless weed is a red flag. Seriously just write it off and learn from it.

3- Vast majority of my purchases have been underweighed. They tell you they are allowed  X% leeway so tough luck. I have also been told I need to return it to the store. What a joke. Returrn it to the store after I open it at home and tell them to take it back? 3.5g once weighed 2.7g. - My singular DOJA purchase was 3.5g so good on them for that!?! It's about F'ing time I open a Tweed package and it weighs what it should! Keep in mind I barely buy tweed now it is just to stay somewhat up to date with market availabilty/quality. I give it 3.5/5 at best. You can put a full OZ in a DOJA container. About 50% bigger than 7 Acres old package. Such a waste.

4- They are labelling TWD at 20% THC regardless as per a recent BNNBloomberg article - In the alcohol world back in the day you get killed for that. It is akin to watering the booze down. You are misleading your would be purchasers at the very least.  How many people appreciate knowing it is not a 20% product? There is plenty of choice in all segments. The value segment especially. HiWay I tried was superior to TWD in every which way. When we get sold will they use Kincardine for value weed? Unlikely HiWay lives. The brand is dead imo.

Those four things I have posted in the past. I still feel the same, hurdles these guys need to clear to have a hope at being 'the cannabis company'. Right now Hexo is ahead of them imho. So is Tilray now. Broken Coast while 50% more than 7 acres has its core following. Understandably as well. So will CGC be able to overcome the negative consumer sentiment they carry? Maybe? But me I won't go on that ride, sorry but I'm a 'support local treat your customers with respect' kind of guy so therefore I won't vote Yes (it doesn't matter they have the votes without us retail investors) Supreme was on their way to smooth long term sailing. Small profits bit by bit and start buying up struggling smaller companies to expand. But you do it with earnings not raises. If you stick with Tweed I wish you and others all the best! Our votes won't sway anything. Only SP will. If anything will.... The board(s) wants us to be positive about it. F that. There is more going on behind the scenes (CGC is getting hammered for a reason) but such is the world though. These guys know those guys etc and they are all losing wads of cash. Who knows maybe its a mutual constellation thing? How do we fix our cannabis purchase? (speculation)...  I'm not crying about what could be I'm pissed at what is vs what I understood. Supreme did not need to do this. They have the money to ride out 2+ years of existing losses and a product people want to buy from a company 'support local' crowd respects.... Or should I said HAD?
