Think about it today you can get 5-6% dividend in a Canadian Bank Stock plus capital gains so worse case scenario 9%.  I arranged a mortgage the other day for 1.75%.  If you decide to go the RRSP route there will be a withholding varies by Province but that really does not matter bottom line you pay based on your tax rate that year.  Ontario for example has a 30% withholding on that amount.  So you would have to pull over 100k to get the 75k and still would likely owe another 5k or so in taxes at the end of the year.  Ontario withholding rate is 30%.
