RE:BBTV - speculation at its best and no long term future
RE:BBTV - speculation at its best and no long term futureWow, what a benevolent person you are! You came where, and unloaded this large heap of ignorance on us with a piece of advice to sell? Thank you so much!! LOL..... Bought at IPO? I recommend reading Peter Lynch and Joel Greenblatt and how they advise to invest around IPOs..... I'm happy to have your shares in the pool, I'll pick them up soon ;-) cheers!

I had hoped that general hype around their IPO and prospects would drive more investors in and the share price further. That has not happened. I am not a long term investor in this company as I don't believe the company has long term prospects.
My research showed that this company has little to no value. The product is a derivative product that uses other services' (YouTube, TikTok, etc) core offerings of media distribution and BBTV attempts to extract froth by supposevly adding "value added" for the content creators.
I have also viewed some of the content from their feature "creators" and I'm underwhelmed. I have watched videos from the CEO and I'm underwhelmed. I have contacted their investor relations and the response was lack luser and unenthusiastic.
The problem is that their product offers nothing unique. It would be easy for any major to replicate. They call themselves a technology company but I have failed to understand where or what their technology actually is. In fact if you examine BBTV's job ads, you'll see that most are focused on sales. They also have openings for "game designers". Are they now a game company? I understand the direct sales channel and micro game development is part of their channel distribution model but it feels like a tiny endevour. My impression is that they have 1 or 2 software developers who write mini games using game frameworks and brand them with the names of the "content creators".
Finally, the balance sheet is a disaster. High debt with a high interest rate.
This line sums up what this company is all about. The rest is smoke screen:
"We currently generate the vast majority of our revenue from advertising inserted on our licensed and owned media content as well as the management of content rights. These revenues are generated primarily through ads that are inserted before, during and after views of our video content on YouTube"
So BBTV inserts banner ads in front of videos and collects a tiny portion of the click through revenue.
I wish all investors here the best and I hope that my analysis ends up being wrong. I will keep this stock on my radar and I have penciled my re-entry price around $1/share.
