Hate the CEO and his hands off public market approach. Don't hate the market.
Investors will hold stock when they believe in a CEO. It's almost cult like and I could give you many examples of that as you very well might know. I own some of those companies. Those companies will get the incredible valuations and hold on to them. It's the likable nature and belief in someone and it's our human nature which drives that.
This company and it's CEO is not any of that. Companies with CEO's who run their public business like this can have tremendous value but will only ever be realized at the time of sale. The value will always be there as the company fundamentals improve. But without reaching out to existing (especially existing) and new investors and putting a face and a belief that your investment is in good hands, you might as well put a fork in it. Press releases are not reaching out.
Back in the day...It was called building a relationship with your investors.
The day to day movement is because of the CEO. Personally I could care less. He is building a tremendous amount of value in the company and I appreciate that and have invested accordingly.
