Is Canstar Resources (ROX) Next....? As eveyone who's read my posts today knows, I am disappointed that NFG paid cash to acquire more NFLD shares.
Technically (in my defense), I had previously stated that I didn't think NFG should spend money to increase their stake in NFLD since they already seem to be knee-deep in LAB as well as very busy trying to prove out their own enormous land package, not that they wouldn't, as I obviously have no control over what NFG's Board / Management does, and they would know better than me the potential NFLD holds. Nonetheless, props to megacopper for calling it.
Now that we know NFG seems to be on the prowl to gain footholds in claims that are adjacent to ones where they already have a foot in the door, I'm wondering if Canstar Resources (ROX) might be their next target in which to acquire a stake.....?
ROS has a 622 square kilometre contiguous claims package in south-central Newfoundland (Golden Baie Project) that is adjacent to one of NFLD's (many) packages (True Grit).
If NFG acquires shares in ROX for cash (again, bad idea in my view, but after the NFLD news today, wouldn't surprise me), it looks like NFG would have interest in junior gold exploration companies stretching almost the entire length of the Central Newfoundland gold rush territory from north to south, potentially the opening salvos of creating the equivalent of the Roman Empire of the Central Newfoundland gold rush.
