He ran an entire Airwing For The Navy as a Reservist. A global Airline, in fact, while simultaneously starting and building a North American Powerhouse of Greenhouses full of innovations.
I think you made an excellent choice within this investment space. I visited his Marfa Op. Kind of a junkyard, after the largest single hail storm in history- but operational.
If we could get Mike on The Controls here, AGRA would straighten up and fly right.
Did he ever get The Honda Jet? He was still current, the last I checked. I hope so, he EARNED it.
Tex
Tex, Thanks for the confirmation and approval. I’m not sure about the jet but I would guess that the answer is “yes”. Pure Sun Farms is a respected and top selling cannabis brand which he developed in Canada and he is expanding it internationally now. Texas, with a population near Canada’s, is a huge stepping stone and he says he is ready to conquer it when it opens to rec. Without being smug, it is instructive to realize that PSF and Agra were at the same starting line in Canada. The former had a leader with a long term vision who valued credibility and integrity while the latter valued only his own short term gain by choosing a subservient Board with the same values and goals as his own. Ivany was able to cash out and hookup with Holy Cr@p as an encore while Mike has become the Cannabis King of Canada.
The lesson appears to be crystal clear. People, by their actions and choices, determine whether a venture is successful or not! That is why I research the people first. Anybody hiding his/her past is doing so for one reason only. It is not pretty!
Insofar as Mike turning around Agra, IMO, not even he can do it. The damage that Ivany inflicted, as Boddy realized, is simply to sever to correct. Establishing and differentiating a brand at this stage is akin to a sprinter winning a marathon; very unlikely and cash intensive. Growing only does not provide for adequate margins here. As a long term investor, I am betting that every 1K of VFF will outperform 1M shares of Agra over the next 10 years. Each to his own. Take care!
