RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Newbie Investor Here... Well, I'll persist and go on the record to say it's time for a 5 for one split here.
A consolidation is a smart idea for a company that went through a rough patch and has a gazillion shares outstanding BUT sees positive earnings in the future. So I applaud what BQE did as it has delivered in spades on the earnings' front. A reverse spit is rarely successful but they've pulled it off,
Now that the company is out of the woods, I think it is important for it to start attracting institutional investors. That will not happen when the bid and ask difference is 10%. I also think this deters most private investors.
Although people who have enjoyed the rise from 5-30$ will have a favorable bias towards the status quo, I have a feeling that we may be stalled at 30 for quite a while now. Essentially, a company with a market cap around 35 millions shouldn't have only 1 million shares outstanding, especially if a boatload is held by management.
