RE:RE:RE:RE:Enbridge looking to South AmericaJust want to point out that this is a Natural Gas pipeline and not an Oil pipeline which still may fit into Enbridge's ESG especially if Natural Gas is welcomed back into the fold as a bridge fuel. These pipelines may even help with future alternative fuel distribution infrastructure.
Hopefully Enbridge is eyeing a discounted bargain.
Go Enbridge! ;-)

Good post....
Frankly I am a bit surprised that they are considering this given their announced strategy...the counter argument is of course that they are buying existing pipeline assets and so there is basically zero regulatory risk....whether it is a good investment or not will depend solely on the math....in this regard i have confidence in ENB mangement.
That said....putting into South America....IMO is higher risk than what management has outlined as the game plan....if they do go ahead then obviously they have a different opinion than me...
If I was running the company...I would stick to their announced low risk/high payoff strategy in terms of using renewables to lower their operating costs which pay off directly to their bottom line and DVF which drives dividend growth
