Yeah, you got me thinking all right! Maybe QH has a card up his sleave vis-a-vis Maritime Resources - maybe some kind of merger, giving them mostly shares of NFG (as opposed to cash). Our proprietary knowledge and the geological model NFG is building would be helpful to them too? I think I heard QH point out specifically in a recent interview that Maritime Resources is located nearby and has a MILL - and that it was, in his words, "interesting" (if I was perceiving correctly, the subtext there was we should PAY ATTENTION to what he is saying). I did well in school - my bet is QH is working on a deal with them as we speak. Personally, I think the WORST thing we could do is waste time entertaining a buy-out by a major - like "the government", the majors are NOT here to "help us" - we WILL make more money in the long run by doing it ourselves, even if we have to eat a little dilution. And I do believe that QH is of the same opinion. Hmmmm ......

Thanks for the perspective on Aurelian v Queensway, all very good points.

I agree that it would create the most value for NFG shareholders to put Queensway into production themselves. I listened to Quinton Hennigh talking about that mill and he seemed excited and I was thinking he might have something up his sleeve. NFG could put a crusher on site and truck high grade rock up to that mill or even use a ship based out of Lewisporte (only 20 min drive away from the site) and ship the ore up there and start making money fast without spending much. Just one option of many available to NFG. I'd say they are considering all available options. My opinion is these guys want to build a major company. They want to get control over as much prospective ground as possible because they know there will be several big discoveries in the region and they want it all. Just my own opinion.
