SIC can still have great mineralization, but it has its own source for gold. There seems to be 2 major structures, one being the Appleton Fault Zone, that runs from north of Gander to as far south as the Canstar property. The second major structure runs from north of Louisporte, southwest through Grand Falls to where the Marathon deposit is. This second structure is the one that SIC is on.
Yes the Moosehead property that SIC has is definitely not on the Appleton fault. I think everyone is in agreement on that one. And what you are saying about the two structures is correct from what I know of it. But the favourable geology and style of orogenic mineralization on the Moosehead property has been confirmed with drilling in core samples to be similar to that found on the Keats Zone. This has been 100% confirmed. It is my belief and that of several geologists from Newfoundland that the favourable geology that hosts these high grade zones on Queensway is far more extensive than previously thought. And I would say based on Eric Sprott's actions since March 18th when he started investing in every junior in the region that he must think the same and he's taking his advice from Quinton Hennigh. Yes LAB, NFLD and ROX are good ones but so is SIC. I'm not to sure about SASY yet because I haven't done my due diligence on that one.
Eric has invested heavily in the region including SIC. Eric Sprott has just got shareholder approval to increase his position to greater than 20% with SIC. Outside of NFG there is only one other junior to drill similar type grades and thickness and that would be SIC. I think SIC has been neglected because everyone thinks the only favourable rocks are along the Appleton fault but that isn't what I'm hearing. It's far more extensive. Don't rule out SIC hitting something really good. They have been getting great high grade intersections so they are in the right area. I think SASSY is nearby the Moosehead property as well but like I said I'm not too familiar with those guys.
And SIC has a very interesting j/v property with BEX down near Kepenkeck Lake that was originally optioned from Al Keats. There will be a big gold discovery down there somewhere between Eastern Pond (Queensway South) and Kepenkeck Lake. I love that region down there and it could possibly turn out to be better than Queensway North but it will take years of exploration work before we find out for sure. Great geology down in that neck of the woods. I like NFLD and ROX down in that region to the south as well. This week will be crazy!!! This entire region will explode with new investment money coming into this play. The latest drill results have 100% confirmed what NFG has is very very impressive!!!
