RE:Trading ;

RE:Trading ;

I use TDW and for sure you cannot buy on the OTC thru TDW
but why would you want to?

It's the same stock! Are you in the US?

You cannot trade through TDW so that tells me you are a Canadian.

So I ask? Why do you want to buy SICNF?

IF you have a $US account that you want to use the money from to buy SIC
then just open the $US account and enter your order for SIC.

It will give you a warning that you are buying a stock in a different currency.
Ignore and enter your order.
When it gets filled it will convert the price from $CDN to$US and deduct the amount from your $US account.

But here is why I say why would you want to?

When you sell the stock you will have to convert the gain ( or loss) back to $CDN and use that with what you paid for it originally in $CDN to arrive at  your capital gain or loss .

Nothing changes so why would you do this?
