I recall there was a time that Ontario Hydro paid Quebec and some US States large sums  to take away the excess power that was generated in off peak hours by its  windturbines !!
At one time Ontario Hydro had a public internet site that showed all this. The liberals answer to the dilemma was to take down the internet site !!
The excess power created by the wind turbines could not be offset because the liberals had shut down both coal and nat gas generators , that left hydro, principally Niagara falls whose production rates were set by treaty with and the US . And Nuclear with Invariable priduction. Hydro Quebec were certainly laughing at the Ontario Liberals stupidity !!! The Ontario voters found it a little less funny.
