Phil made a remark about 13:30 regarding "current" data (he has seen but isnt published) extending the insulin injection-free period of this subject beyond 6 months and declaring an "effective cure". This is HUGE to me and begs the question how others are doing.
To respond to your point 2 question, the islet injections refer to the first and second (topping up) injections of cells into the cell pouch (a booster so to speak). So insulin injection free was achieved after "top up" and the patient STILL remains free from having to inject insulin (time frame ? but guessing 6 months to a year).
Phil did speak well and seemed to be working to contain himself. My impression is that he seemed very keen to share.
