RE:RE:Great Bend

RE:RE:Great BendMegacopper, your interpretation (or the Rock Doctor) of the ultramafic rocks is bang right on. So not only the Appleton Fault is auriferous, but also the nearby parallel faults, probably including the Dog Bay Line and the Grub Line.  I think the Dog Bay Line continues down the western edge of NFG's property and not west of Mt. Peyton. To the west of Mt. Peyton, there is the Noel Pauls Line and SIC's Moosehead must be on either a splay fault, or a parallel fault to this Noel Pauls Line. Just my interp. I love your story about John Harvey. He was (and still is) a pretty decent geologist. He sure had his hands tied by upper management. As you said, Noranda was on their way down and didn't want to spend any more money. Harvey was involved in some decent discoveries though (Mattabi, Hemlo, Isle Dieu). And heh, I do appreciate your time, as everybody else does, who reads your blogs. I guess the NL government is thinking about building a new highway south of Gander to cover Keats, Lotto and Knob Zones called Highway 365.
