RE:Part yes and part no Interesting and well thought out post, Budaman. Your honesty about your position in Sparta is refreshing as well.
From my own perspective the reality is that many investors don't do or do enough of their own DD. While the covid post might have been enough to "lure" a number of investors to Sparta there is ample evidence to suggest that relying solely on a covid play is extremely risky unless the evidence points otherwise. So while you may be offended, the reality is that FOMO has become an investing strategy by many, particularly new, investors. The cryptocurrency market right now is a perfect example of that.
As you have so aptly expressed and a fact that needs to be constantly remembered ....the markets are the markets. Possibly at no other time in the history of stocks are they so fickle. One comment from the former President of the US or a billionaire like Elon Musk to a sudden change in the Middle East and exchanges all over the world are affected. On a more micro scale, the evolution of day traders and their capacity to manipulate stock sp with volumes as low as 100 shares while insidious and troublesome, imho, is also a reality.
Like you, I believe Sparta is a reasonable and less risky longterm penny stock than many that are out there. The reality though is there are more and more investors that essentially and quite openly admit they want to be retirement rich long before the age this is usually a consideration ...in fact in months rather than years.
Cheers, GLTY and GLTE ....patiently holding long!!!
Budaman wrote: Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I have been reading these posts for months and still shake my head when I read some of them. The level of condemnation and hubris is astonishing. The Covid applications of Sparta are definitely part of which has lured investors to this board, myself included. I am currently down 37 percent, but have been able to average down quite well and now I have a modest position I am comfortable with. What makes people think that nothing is in the works as far as the Covid testing goes? Just like I did with Amazon in the late 90s (best $7/sharw I have ever spent) I can smell something brewing with Sparta. I find the term FOMO offensive as it implies that investors did not do their DD before investing. The current SP is proof that even the best DD is at the mercy of the market conditions, May I suggest laypeople remove their egos from their posts, so we can actually have intelligent conversations and discussions in this electronic forum? This will recover in the short to medium term, and I fully expect the year highs to be surpassed faster than expected. I welcome all thoughts, including the Trolls. If you are feeling foggy, then leap. In my opinion only. Thanks - Buda.
