RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Mental Illness detector?"Where is the line drawn between "depression", "major depression", "severe depression", "bipolar disorder", or "Schizophrenia" and everything between?
How can AI programing determine the difference through a brief scan?"
It can't....not in my opinion. And I majored in psychology.
IMHO the thinking was that the more they claimed it might be able to do... the more they could promote the sp. Actually I don't think they claimed that the AI could diagnose different levels of mental illness....that would be too hard to sell. Just that it could be taught to recognize mental illness in general. That is a joke also IMHO. Everyone has ups and downs with their state of happiness and sadness....excitement and depression....temporary reasons to be upset....or exuberant....mood swings....etc. This happens to everone to one degree or another. To think that thier AI can detect mental illness from normal is ridiculous IMHO. PMED already has a disclaimer that their AI cannot diagnose Covid so I am not sure what they promote during sales pitches but it doesn't seem that many are impressed. I thought the AI was originally intended to detect drug and/or alcohol issues....yet I don't see much in the way of potential customers signing up to use this product either.
All above IMHO of course.
