CGX Energy Inc. is a Canada-based oil and gas exploration company. It is focused on the exploration of oil in the Guyana-Suriname Basin and the development of a deep-water port in Berbice, Guyana. The Company, through one of its subsidiaries, holds an interest in a Petroleum Prospecting Licence (PPL) and related Petroleum Agreement (PA) on the Corentyne block in the Guyana Basin, offshore Guyana. The Company, through its subsidiary Grand Canal Industrial Estates, is constructing the Berbice Deep Water Port. This facility, located on the eastern bank of the Berbice River, adjacent to and north of Crab Island in Region 6, Guyana, is being constructed on 30 acres with 400 m of river frontage. Its subsidiaries include CGX Resources Inc., GCIE Holdings Limited and CGX Energy Management Corp. It is the operator of the Corentyne block and holds a 27.48% working interest. Its Wei-1 exploration well is located west of the Kawa-1 discovery in the northern region of the Corentyne block.

LolAs OilRun had laid out in a past post.....imho, it is MUCH better to go it alone on the 1st well, then, entertain JV offers, yes oferrS (more than 1) after a successful well.....some would wonder about coming up empty?  I would agree with a JV before the 1st well, IF, the area had not been substanially derisked....but lucky for us, it has.....get "some cash' now as soulfire puts it.....or get 5-10x that after the 1st drill.....i know some of u are DYING to get this sp up and the waiting is killing u (i see it on the board everyday)....ask yourself this, do u want to sign a JV now and see the stock price up to $2 (maybe)....or sign a JV after the 1st drill and see a stock price of $6 to $8 ?  What it comes down to is what u believe....well, for me i have stated i believe in DeAlba and where he is taking us....he has done more in the past year than previous managements in the past decade.....so i will bet on him...."settle" for a little now, or ALOT later. GLTA
