Baytex Energy Corp. is a Canada-based energy company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in the Eagle Ford in the United States. Its crude oil and natural gas operations are organized into three main operating areas: Light Oil USA (Eagle Ford), Light Oil Canada (Pembina Duvernay / Viking) and Heavy Oil Canada (Peace River / Peavine / Lloydminster). Its Eagle Ford assets are located in the core of the liquids-rich Eagle Ford shale in South Texas. The Eagle Ford shale covers approximately 269,000 gross acres of crude oil operations. Its Viking assets are located in the Dodsland area in southwest Saskatchewan and in the Esther area of southeastern Alberta. It also holds 100% working interest land position in the East Duvernay resource play in central Alberta.

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Meanwhile, back on the farmWe all own it for the same reason. It's the one and only reason. Because we think it's going to go up and make us lots of money. I suggest you research a little more the term "value play" because you might be the only one in the world I have ever heard who describes baytex, or any other small to mid sized oil producer, as a value play. There is no such thing as sustainable long term free cash flow that's not susceptible to fluctuating oil prices in the oil biz. So, if anyone wants to own oil producers, that's the risk side of the risk/reward equation. The oil business has been the largest or close to largest industry sector of the TSX index in the past. The sector has been widely owned in the past, directly and indirectly and it will be again, in the not too distant future. Or so Eric and I and many others believe.
