Pembina Pipeline Corp is a Canada-based energy transportation and midstream service provider. The Company owns pipelines that transport hydrocarbon liquids and natural gas products produced primarily in Western Canada. It also owns gas gathering and processing facilities and an oil and natural gas liquids infrastructure and logistics business. It operates through three segments: Pipelines, Facilities and Marketing & New Ventures. The Pipelines segment provides customers with pipeline transportation, terminalling, and storage in key market hubs in Canada and the United States for crude oil, condensate, natural gas liquids and natural gas. The Facilities segment includes infrastructure that provides Pembina's customers with natural gas, condensate and natural gas liquid (NGL) services. The Marketing & New Ventures segment undertakes value-added commodity marketing activities including buying and selling products, commodity arbitrage, and optimizing storage opportunities.

Personally I just bought a wack of PPL at 37.40. If they trade down from there over the next while I will add to the position. Longer term, PPL is going to make a pile of money from this purchase. In my opinion they got a very good deal for IPL, even excluding Heatland. I would also bet they took a real close look at the Heartlenad constrcution before agreeing to buy IPL. PPL has a history of astute management, I doubt they lost their minds over this deal.
