What's dying are Americans, average 500 deaths a day still. There should be urgency. It's obvious hospitals don't have that silver bullet that keep people from dying, although vaccines are slowing the death rate. Therapeutics are still needed.

It's just amazing that no priority whatever has been given to therapeutics in over 15 months. Everyday our local news gives a covid update and each day they close it by saying "and sadly today we have had another "x" number of people die today from covid. It's a daily routine and just comes across as though nobody really cares regarding "isn't there something that can be done about this"?

The whole focus has been on a vaccine(s) and to hell with the fact that those people that keep getting infected may die. Well over 3 million so far.

And for those companies such as AGN and CYDY and a couple others that have reasonable therapies with long standing safety profiles just keep getting hurdles thrown in front of them by the regulators like HC and FDA.

It just gives the appearance that they are not interested in anything that may slow the death rate until they have sold all of the vaccine supplies world wide. Not that the money trail would take a front seat to slowing down the death rate. After all the victims are mostly elders and compromised individuals, so not really a priority.

As an 81 year old, the lack of an effective therapeutic has always been first and foremost in my mind, when you consider the fear mongering that is presented. You sure as hell don't want to get infected and end up in a hospital because your likelihood of getting out again is quite slim - relatively speaking. But the regulators appear to turn a blind eye.

I have stayed mostly isolated for fear of getting a contagious 'deadly' disease for which they have no 'cure'. We live with the dangers of such things as cancer as deadly diseases with no real cure but most are not highly contagious. The air borne contagion is the big thing, especially when they know so little about it and how it is really being contracted.

Such is life!
