John buying and selling is his right so long as he reported it correctly. However, if he's playing games with the SP then the company needs to be put on notice that the shareholders are now aware that this is going on, and it is unpalatable to some. 

What would be the benefit in keeping the SP at .50? 
I am having trouble understanding the motivation in that play.
