Canadian Air Passenger Traffic Up 14% W/W: Canadian weekly air passenger traffic saw a sequential jump, up 14% W/W. Air passengers screened through Canada’s 15 largest airports as of May 30 totalled 108,443. The seven-day rolling average of air passengers hit 15,492 versus 13,583 the prior week (May 23). Week 21 air traffic in Canada measured by passengers was down ~90% compared to the same week in 2019.

U.S. Air Passenger Traffic Flat W/W: The seven-day rolling average of U.S. air passengers on June 4 came in at 1.73MM, up 0.5% W/W from 1.72MM the week prior (May 28). Weekly air passenger traffic was down ~26% compared to the same week in 2019.

European Air Traffic Up 11% W/W: Europe saw good momentum on account of countries opening up in the region. As of June 4, the seven-day rolling average of European flight departures according to EuroControl was 14,824, up 10.7% from 13,385 a week ago (May 28). European flight departures were down ~55% compared to the same week in 2019.
