Pond Technologies Holdings Inc. is a technology company engaged in controlled environment cultivation of microalgae. Its primary business is to pursue microalgal biomass cultivation using available sources of CO2, including CO2-rich emission sources from industrial plants and the licensing of its technology. It has developed a technology platform based on artificial intelligence, proprietary LED lights and patented CO2-management. Its segments include Nutraceutical Products, Technology Services and Corporate. The Nutraceutical Products segment includes production and sales to consumers and business and distribution or third-party products. The Technology Services segment is engaged in the production of microalgal biomass, consulting, engineering services and the construction of biomass production facilities. It also has a Biotech division focused on the growth of unique strains of micro-algae to be used as a reproductive medium for the expression of human antibodies and proteins.

$POND is currently one of my favourite companies in the green tech space. At $0.65 today with a mc of only $28.09M, Pond is one of the few public companies that focuses on carbon capture.

How it works:

- Profitably transform's CO2 from any source into valuable algae-based products such as bioproducts, food ingredients, or nutraceuticals.

- Emissions from smokestacks/other industrial facilities are redirected to bioreactors where algae is grown and O2 is released

- Algae produced can be harvested into value-added products such as superfoods (chlorella and spirulina), clean feed for farm animals, natural cosmetics and food additives, and even biodegradable plastics

They recently announced that their wholly-owned subsidiary, Pond Naturals, received a white label order for 5k bottles of Astaxanthin from a U.S. client.

Pond Naturals rev grew 24% in 2020 to about $4.5M and they are anticipating continued growth in 2021 due to their strong re-order levels, new clients onboarding, and ongoing discussions in regard to entering new formulation verticals with CPG and CBD companies.

Additionally, their recent financial statement's for Q1 ending March 31, 2021 showed improvement with a 58% increase in Pond Naturals Rev, a positive working Capital of $532,000, and a decrease in net loss by $31k.

This one has LOTS of potential as the carbon capture industry will experience high growth in the upcoming years due to the shift towards an increased focus on tackling climate change.
