RE:Anyone figure out costsWell, IPL has 429mil shares, so at 0.5PPL/IPL that's an extra 214.5mil shares added to PPL.
*Not sure about this Trans Mountain deal, maybe somebody else can chime in.*
PPL currently has a total of 550mil shares out there now. So with IPL combined there will be 764.5mil shares.
Try to look at it as more of 'mergers' as opposed to buy-outs. If the underlying business is sound, and PPL is getting good return on overall enterprise values then each new merger will continue to support the combined company and hopefully added value along the way realizing efficiencies.
As a previous IPL owner I can readily say, PPL is getting a deal if they can hang on to it at this point.
