RE:RE:RE:Delta Variant Thanks CancerSlayer, still would be nice if at the AGM Shawn will discuss progress or start date for animal & human trials for vaccine if known.

However this Delta Variant appears to me as the deadliest so if a biopharmaceutical company could prove their vaccine would be highly effective against this and any other possible variants it would make world news instantly. Perhaps during the AGM someone could pose this question if Theralase Covid-19 vaccine would be able to protect against this latest Variant to emerge or even against ones still to emerge! Any thoughts on this would be appreciated, thanks.
Hi Apophis....good question, but it's too early to postulate about vaccine potential at this early stage. However, in using TLD-1433 +/- PDT as a therapeutic, one can more clearly see potential based on Dr. Coombs' preclinical work. I hope TLT eventually pursues this further.
As for the Delta variant, a recent study from Public Health England showed that the Pfizer vaccine was 88% effective in preventing symptomatic disease due to Delta...not bad at all considering the influenza vaccine is typically 40-50% effective. The RNA technology used in making the Pfizer vaccine appears to provide a big edge.
88% effective...in fully vaccinated people (those who received two doses at the appropriate times).
