09:20 AM EDT, 06/15/2021 (MT Newswires) -- Telus (T.TO, TU) overnight Monday responded to a request from MT Newswires for an explanation on how the company will fund an additional C$54 billion investment in infrastructure and operations across to Canada through 2024.

The company in an email reply said: "The investment of $54 billion includes our planned capital and operating expenses over the next four years all across Canada. They are consistent with our capital expenditure guidance for 2021 updated in Q1, and with our planned future capital expenditure plans, including our accelerated broadband build. These transformational investments are expected to significantly bolster our customer experience leadership and competitive position, and will also result in positive cash flow benefits."
