My understanding is it's just a different way of doing what Exro does. But which one outperforms the other is the question? Performance, price, what is Exro's edge?

Yes SRPM uses rare earth magnets, but would that not make them more expensive? SRPM motors get more power and allow smaller motors with less weight also like Exro.
