Labs have been restricted because of COVID. The COVID study at McMaster was expected to begin in early June with the lifting of COVID restrictions. Hopefully the bioavalability study for the CoQ10/Alginate complex, etc., can also begin shortly. The stability study for CoQ10/Alginate has been completed. CoQ10/Alginate and CoQ10-YBG are believed to address cost issues of oat beta glucan. With the bioavailability study complete and potential progress towards commercial-scale manufacturing and impregnation the goal is to have a NCC deal by the end of the year. These are negotiations, however, subject to uncertainties.
Thanks proph. What worries me is the length of time the original CoQ10/BG took to show stability and then bioavailability. Now these companies seem to like it but want it cheaper. Ok, makes sense. Now we need to do these all over again with Alginate and YBG.
How far along are we on this and how much longer will this take? Also, if successful, what are the odds we have to go back to the drawing board for some reason?
What are your thoughts proph as you seem to be very well informed.
