Ask your average consumer if they have heard of Dr. Jean Claude Tardif or Quaker Oats. I am sorry but he isnt going to sell. Quaker can put a concentrated oat meal pill on the market and it will sell in the cereal section of super markets all across America with a deafening band promoting its virtues. Meanwhile "Tardif's Own" will sit behind the counter in a Canadian pharmacy waiting for some doctor to perscribe it at 10x the price, with no PERCEIVED benefit to the Quaker pill.
