Government bureaucracy at its worst

Government bureaucracy at its worst

I follow @Deepak Anand on Twitter and he just posted an article from Canada Gazette about proposed regulations that would ban any flavours, other than those derived naturally from cannabis, from vaping products.  They purport it is to control the exponential growth of youth using these products.  If the legislation goes through the way they propose, our licensed producers will be at a definite disadvantage in the marketplace, especially if/when legalisation happens stateside.  I, my husband, and our daughter all use Soleil vapes that are flavoured with lavender, as well as other flavoured vapes.  After two bouts of cancer, my husband has found these products more efficacious, especially given his physical limitations as a result of the cancer.  I also have health conditions that help make these my products of choice.  While I understand that protecting youth is important, how far is too far?  If LPs are crippled by legislation such as this, how will they compete with other producers worldwide?  The document I have linked to is quite long and repetitive throughout, but take a look for yourselves and see what you think.  glta
