Telehealth Vision, What is the DM competitive edge?As I've previously stated, I'm personally a bit weary of the Telehealth market. Yes its a big pie, but you are at a huge disadvantage compared to well established companies that have a larger share of the market.
WELL HEALTH TECHNOLODIES (TICKER WELL), CLOUDMD (Ticker DOC), DIALOGUE HEALTH (TICKER CARE).
I've followed them to some degree and they have clear plans and specific goals in the Canadian market.
The part that concerns me is everything I've heard Mr.Gunter say (he mentioned CLOUDMD) at one point, they already use AI in the ways he mentioned. They own the IP and use WATSON via IBM.
Using bluetooth stethoscopes and onsite booths within Canadian pharamcies or grocery stores is already being done (via Save On Foods/ Remote First Nations communties telebooths). I'm a bit worried they are already left in the dust.
I did message Datametrex to ask Mr.Gunter to explain his vision on how Datametrex can set itself apart from other Canadian companies using Telehealth with AI. I hope its not a repeat of what these companies are already doing, or its creating a more fractured telehealth system.
The only saving grace I can see, is as I mentioned before already having clients in the movie sector / American companies asking them for telehealth that they have clients lined up.
Throwing large amounts of money at it such as this aquisition is a little concerning though.
But that part of the market is going to be very small to the other Telealth companies trying to appeal to every Canadian (and with WELL and CLOUDMD inflitrating the American market, that was well).
I'm hoping Mr.Gunter can assure the investors the vision clearly. To me the more interesting aspects are the predictive AI (social media, fake news) and computer vision AI with the drone aquisition. Jumping off the bridge cause everyone else is......
