RE:Getting Ugly Setting these kind of milestones dates is highly risky at the best of times in regular industry nevermind the unpredictability of biotech.
Did the mob here ever think that the dates were established based upon pre-established contract decision dates, signed under nda, therefore derisking significantly here? Did any of the dumb dumbs here think about that?
Whatever we may say about empty promises, one thing I do know for absolute certain is that there is a high probability the CEO is not only intellectually 2 steps ahead of you here on how this will play out, he is also smart enough to not compromise the sanctity of his sizeable investment and commitment to seeing the company through to this "next era." Yes, he may be a bad linear widget growth manager, but his IQ is absolutely higher. The plan here, in case you didn't know, is that a number of strategic agreements are to be put in place which aim to fundamentally wrap all the Geraldine IP in commercial viability.
Eventual buyout at much much higher value is in play. That is the role of junior biotech in the big space, and that is why the big players pay the big money to acquire scientific platforms and portfolios. It is not to grow a self sustaining widget factory and drive PL statements quarter over quarter.
And no, if there is an nda in place, there is NO obligation to tell us.
I am looking very much forward to the day, maybe soon, maybe not, where everything on the table comes to light, and perhaps a few may develop deep regret for their ongoing stupidity in their role in fueling the frustration and unnecessarily scaring off investors with their demands on this board, and to a lesser extent on Twitter.
By the way, the complaining is doing nothing. It is not in any way changing anything except driving the price down 500 shares at a time.
So do what you want, but please stop chanting with your signs and demanding heads to roll. The strategy does not work in this case.
My simple view is that you think about the science in a dark room, then come out - if you take a preschool crayon and draw a line from the first low point on the 10 yr chart to the next two low points, you will see an upward trend and realize we may be at that buy now window as we speak.
