POET Technologies Ord Shs V.PTK

Alternate Symbol(s):  POET

POET Technologies Inc. is a design and development company. It offers high-speed optical engines, light source products and custom optical modules to the artificial intelligence (AI) systems market and to hyperscale data centers. Its photonic integration solutions are based on the POET Optical Interposer, a novel, patented platform that allows the integration of electronic and photonic devices into a single chip using wafer-level semiconductor manufacturing techniques. Its Optical Interposer-based products consume less power than comparable products, are smaller in size and are readily scalable to high production volumes. In addition, it has designed and produced novel light source products for chip-to-chip data communication within and between AI servers, the next frontier for solving bandwidth and latency problems in AI systems. Its Optical Interposer platform solves device integration challenges across a range of communication, computing and sensing applications.

RE:RE:RE:RE:GlobalFoundries it will build a new fabrication plant we know the road goes from r&d to samples to orders..........

the Sanam JV provides you a clue as to the status of the Poet gadget. Feel free to ignore this clue. Or the clue Poet talked to potential customers at the recent trade show.

Your choice is:

Buy Poet at this early stage
or
Buy Poet after they announce their customers, the order size etc.

Buy early and you pay for an opportunity cost.
Buy for much higher after the good news.

Your question then would be, which cost is lower?
The opportunity cost or the premium share price for buying after the good news.

That is it. Make your choice. No need to pontificate here about the issue.

Isn't this issue in fact the critical missing piece with the market not fully understanding what POET has? Doesn't POET management in fact have a long history with suggesting that the customer/s are just waiting for this milestone or that milestone.

This is not a one off. One sees these types of deals throughout the semi industry because the eco-system and supply chain is critical to everyones business, EXCEPT POET. Why?

SINGAPORE — U.S.-headquartered semiconductor manufacturer GlobalFoundries announced Tuesday that it will build a new fabrication plant in Singapore to meet the unprecedented global demand for chips.

The new facility will be developed in partnership with the Singapore Economic Development Board and with co-investments from committed customers, GlobalFoundries said. More than $4 billion will be invested into the development, according to the company.

“Our new facility in Singapore will support fast-growing end-markets in the automotive, 5G mobility and secure device segments with long-term customer agreements already in place,” GlobalFoundries CEO Tom Caulfield said in a statement.

Could it possibly be that POET has nothing yet to offer at this point.Seems very likely that 9 out 10 people are still skeptical that they don't have a marketable  product until proven otherwise. the 10th person is probably lying..
