RE:RE:RE:RE:An important jobThanks for the years. I'm 64. I have seen pictures of Mars surface. Rocks and dust. That much more motivation that we must look after the earth. It's the only one we have. A balance exists in nature. The perfection is astounding. But sometimes that balance is compromised. We can't take nature for granted.
As for renewable energy options, energy sovereignty is one goal. Also won't require mega power. From this perspective, the windfarm has to be viewed as primarily an economic enterprise. What will eventually be decided, only time will tell. It's ok to have opinions, but dialogue is essential.
Scant information on the cost and benefits or the degree of participation. As far as I know the area under consideration is in an isolated part of Hecate Strait. Should not be able to see from the shore.
In the future floating windfarms/tidal power could be explored. Out in the ocean. But for now, the traditional route to start?
There has to by a buyer of the electricity also. Reliability and cost parameters must be met. Everything is contracted through BC Hydro.
This has a chance to be more than a oh hum project. When look at the turbines should not see blades spinning and lights blinking. But instead, that someplace, someone benefits directly, which makes their lives better. To accomplish this, the various communities will have to come together. Maybe then, something special can be showcased to the world.
I sometimes talk about other things on this forum. How about, when glowing ambers from wood or briquettes exist. They seem like the fire hotspots move around. Now place this within a oval in the near sky. Watch it pass in front, then it stops and slowly disappears. Clearly beyond nature's realm. Witnesses still marvel and fear.
