hey no FluffMy pups name is fluff. I would assume your name indicates that you do not post fluffy stuff. Since my dog is a good friend I would say I like fluff. Fluffy stuff isn't to shabby especially if you think a pikckerels skin is kinda fluffy. Not like a pickerels back. That is pretty spikey. The eating part of the pickerel is the best though.
Cupricity on the other hand is a different kind of a name. No cup here, unless there is some coffee in it, or after 5 a splash of something that was kept in the dark for a decade. Just the Latin for copper, which is cupric. And tie that to city. Ie Copper City, means Cupricity. When I came up with it way, way way back when in 2010 I was thinking the world would trasition away from oil and into green energy which required gabs of copper. Other things that I think we forget a little about is air conditioners. Since it is that hot time of the year, and on the same topic of climate change it is good to consider the old AC unit. It has lots of copper, and needs lots of power to run, which needs lots of copper. As the world heats up from all that carbon we keep pumping into the sky copper is going to be the cure for the carbon as well as the heat. Even if the chinese are trying to turn up the heat on the speculators. I think it's great to get the speculation out of the market and looking like the funds have exited the copper stage. All that's left if the truth. Metal markets are very cyclical.
Major metal miners are very disciplined right now. No one is rushing out to make an extra million tonnes a year. Most of them are trying to figure somehow to keep production from declining. And of course there are a few countries who really don't care if their mines produce even less copper, as long as the can appropriate those mines in order to make all the profits on the mines they didn't build. I bet it keeps Robert Friedland up at night. DRC is just 1 crazy man away from mob rules. And Peru just elected someone with ideas. And Chile? See how that one runs.
I like my copper deposits in countries where the rule of law is firm and fair. I also like my copper deposits in the bottom quartile. And I especially like deposits with very low carbon emissions. So low grade mines like Gibraltar are not my favourite. Florence..... On the other hand checks all the boxes a man could want. Permitting is weeks away. Mining is less than 2 years away.
Alright time to go back to organize my tackle.
