RE: Western Star

RE: Western StarHi LawnBoy; With respect to your query on the status of Vulcan, permit me to paste a recent reply from Mr. Patrick Laracy to a poster on the Vulcan thread. With respect to the status of DLOG, I have only heard what has been posted on this thread several times recently.Because they are a private company, they do not have to disclose material events as would a public company: a recipe to keep us guessing further.Sorry, I can be of no help there. Here are the comments from Mr. Laracy: It remains our plan to drill the Flat Bay permit in the spring, preferably May-June time frame. However we can not pinpoint a date at this time. It will depend on man things including the availability of a drilling rig, the nature of any JV we mayenter into etc. There are several targets on the permit that we ultimately want to test. However we will have to take it one well at a time. We do have sufficient funds to drill one of the targets using a slim hole rig, however we are continuing to talk to different groups regarding a possible JV and /or additional financing which would support a multi-well program. It is my experience that putting together an exploration program in a new area is a very dynamic process with lots of twists and turns along the way. That's the nature of the business. We are ardent beleivers in the petroleum future of western Newfoundland and have invested a great deal of time, energy and money to find a commercial oil field. That effort will continue. With continued high prices for energy the rest of the world will begin to appreciate the potential in western newfoundland. As well don't forget that we have 3 licences offshore which we are attempting to advance. Hope this answers your questions. For more info please don't hesitate to call me @ 754-3186. Regards, Patrick Laracy President Vulcan Minerals Inc.
