Harping on about CEO CompensationHello Benedictus,
How does the saying go - "the out of tune harp gets the tuning oil" - sorry for the mixed metaphors.
I would suggest that it has been the rather persistent focus by shareholders on the CEO compensation issues that produced the response in March whereby Mr. Veloso made the voluntary concession to place his (and the CFOs) recently awarded stock option in escrow until the share price reached $6.45.
I would also note that Mr. Veloso is not shy about continually "justifying" his self interested decisions, and those of the "independent" Board he personally selects and renews each year by exercising his minority (but sufficient) controlling share position.
My other squeeky wheel has been the appeal to all shareholders to vote their shares when given the opportunity to do so, such as at the June 30 2021 AGM. Other than Mr. Veloso and his associates, almost no shareholders have participated in recent AGM votes - a situation I hope we will see change this year with the application of some timely voting oil in response to all my harping/squeeking.
Thank you for your other comments in your post today, I believe we share a very similar assessment of the overall Verde opportunity. Hang in there.
Cheers,
S.
