Comparing Bill C-218 with Bill C-45.

Comparing Bill C-218 with Bill C-45.Mainly comparing Canopy with SCR.  Just my analysis.  Instead of all the silly nonsense about manipulation or shaking or stealing your shares.

When Bill-C45 Cannabis act was starting its legalization process.  Tweed/Canopy was trading around $2, then the first reading and second reading passed.  SP shot up to $40.  Then the final vote (June 18, 2018) and royal assent (June 21, 2018) was passed.  SP shot up to $48.  After that Canopy went on a downtrend.  SP fell to a low of $32 from $48. SP did not recover till Constellation invested 5 billion into the company.  That created the second Mirijuana boom.  Canopy went straight from $32 to $76.  After the hype Canopy dropped all the way to $14 and now sits at $30.

Now with SCR and Bill C-218.  SCR sp was around 0.80 cents, then the first and second reading passed.  SP shot up to $5.50.  Then the reverse split and dilution, it dropped the sp to $16.  Then the final vote for Bill C-218 and Sp recovered to $32.  However, after the vote was approved it went down hill and sp is sitting at $25.  The trend reversed down.

You can see the similarity.   My mistake here was I got greedy, I really believed the final vote would have some premium and atleast propelled the sp to $40+ like what happened with Canopy.  That was my target to get out.  Instead the sp tanked as soon as the vote was approved.  Taking all this into perspective, I know the share price will come back but it is just a matter of when and what type of news are in store.  In Canopy case it only recovered because a big company like Constellation came in.  This is what needs to happen in the Gambling sector in Canada.  Deals and partnership and it will happen, but the questions is when.   This is where we are sitting now until a huge news come in.  We are going to be trading in this range, worse case scenario, close the gap at $20, I don't think they will let it slide that low.  We will need bigs news to propel forward.

Anyways, this is all my opinion.  I know there is going to be a gambling boom from Bill C-218, like it did with Bill C-45 and I don't want to miss that.  Once that happens, I believe SCR will hit a new high, it could go as high as $60 to $70.  Then the usual drop back to reality around the $30.  That is what I am looking for when the sector is in play and heats up. I am looking to get out around $50+.    Always have a plan for your investments and exit strategy.  It is crazy when I see people in here talk about holding 1 year or 10 years.  Thats crazy, the markets are not the same anymore like in the past, it just moves too fast.  Look at all the Weed plays, even the big dog Canopy never hit another high and many big names like Aurora never recovered and is almost bankrupt.  Once again, this is only my opinion. I believe it will follow the same pattern as the weed sector once it was legalized.  Cheers and good luck all going forward.
