Greg is pumping them out,I give him that Why Metallic Minerals' silver project is so rare
Silver projects in top-tier mining jurisdiction are relatively small compared to gold projects, said the Metallic Minerals CEO Greg Johnson.
Johnson spoke to Kitco on Tuesday.
Metallic (TSX.V: MMG) is advancing its flagship 100%-owned, 166-square-kilometer Keno silver project in the Yukon. Keno Hill is one of the world’s highest-grade silver districts with over 220 million ounces of historic silver production. Metallic adjoins Alexco Resources, which recently went into production.
"The silver space is a lot smaller than the gold space in terms of explorers and developers," said Johnson. "You really only have a handful of producers globally. The Keno district is one of the only primary silver producing [regions] in Canada. Our project would stand out as one of a handful in a first-world jurisdiction"
