RE:RE:CA: Higher electrical costs and blackouts..sign of the times

RE:RE:CA: Higher electrical costs and blackouts..sign of the timesWell from here it looks like you two can't seem to compose a post without throwing in a dig or disrespecting others,

You very much like flaunting some deal that you made quite clear that nobody else could participate in and now can't because they have been disrepectcful?.

Now you two snakeoil salesmen are trying to tell everyone else that they can't possibly be succesful without you.

I assure you that everyone that is invested in this stock on this board is already succesful and do not need to pick up the crumbs you discard.

Want respect?  Try posting Enbridge information without the social and political diatribe,   Try even harder to do it without the garish gloating you chastise others for.

Otherwise, reap what you sow.

Oh yeah, Go Enbridge! ;-)

PG&E warned earlier this month that it might need to implement more rolling blackouts. The utility added, however, that they would likely last less than last year’s.

Last week, the California Independent System Operator issued a so-called flex alert, which effectively means it asked people to use less electricity between 5 pm and 10 pm because of heightened energy consumption during that time of day.

Last year, electricity prices in California jumped by 7.5 percent. This was the highest price hike for electricity across the States and seven times the average for the country. This means that as of end-2020, Californians were paying 70 percent more for electricity than people living in other states. At the same time, the security of their energy supply is increasingly questionable.

A more severe than usual drought in the state this year has depleted reservoirs and lakes, including the ones feeding some of the largest hydropower facilities. This means lower output from hydropower stations. This may well force the state with ambitious emission-reduction targets to rely more on its remaining natural gas-powered plants for baseload electricity supply.

These problems, which are set to deepen with time, have their roots far in the past. Callifornia swam in excess generation capacity in the past that sat idle for most of the year because of the mild climate. To reduce this capacity overhang, the state began closing these power plants and replacing them with wind and solar farms—and with imports.

To date, the expert noted, California imports some 35 percent of its electricity.

“That’s a big problem, because now it’s not just California’s grid reliability you have to worry about, it’s your neighbors,” Hirs said. “That’s what happened last August: The heat wave got everybody.”

Fantome's deal can't hit the market soon enough as California is waiting, along with the rest of the world. I'm guessing it will be about a year and a half until the posters here who take pleasure in ridiculing the efforts of others will realize they blew the opportunitity of a lifetime. I urge posters to work with and learn from others as the rewards can be stunning. At the very least, you can meet some great people who have valuable experiences and thoughts to share.

Yep....one thing I have learned over the years is that opportunities can come from the most unlikely sources.  Who wouda thunk that a chance encounter on Stockhouse leading to further discussions through PMs would have led to us joining forces to advise and help a young company that has virtually unlimited potential...and probably make a few bucks having fun doing it...

The lesson is quite clear IMO....respect others....try to help them out and..almost biblically....get paid back a thousand times.  Those that do the opposite IMHO are doomed to failure....
