RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:TOU verses ARC - I need a TOU OpinionTo keep this short and my last post as I only came on here because an ARC cronie/TOU wannabee came on the TOU board:
ARX is extrmely lucky that WTI has doubled in the last 12 months, EXTREMELY LUCKY or ARC would likely be at 5$ per share still.
Just the same as you in around about way make reference the US shale space I reference the Middle East, just the same as if US shall fired up, how about if the Saudi's and OPEC started opening up the valves? Based on this most of your post is a wash.
And I would love for you to meassage me when ARX has the same cashflow as TOU, I await that day.
The world as a whole is still coming online to Nat Gas with the population of over a billion people in India as we speak implenting natural gas infrastructure as the populations growing middle calls is demanding it. There is a future for natural gas. Enjoy the WTI rip to 100 or further, its likely the last one we will see.
Lets take a look at ARX though with what I haven't already touched on:
- ARC had to reduce its dividend from .05cents to .02 cents last year, TOU has only increased its dividend since inception and annually.
- ARC Resources accumulated higher decommissioning liabilities (C$486.8 million) compared to Tourmaline (C$346.9 million) despite ARC Resources' smaller scale.
- Tourmaline's reserves are larger relative to production volume compared to ARC
- The downside risk to share ownership has historically proven to be riskier to own ARC stock, the downside risk is historically higher owning ARC and I would argue that this has not changed going forward as there has not been a significant reason to believe this would change.
- Eric Nuttal, statedon May 28, 2021 that TOU is his first choice, ARX is his second but didn't specify why. Take that for what you will as it is Nutall after all.
- as for the poster that keeps referencing price targets which are absolutly useless and mean nothing, TOU's ost recent analyst price target is $55, which equals a 65% increase from the current share price. ARX has a price target of the highest I can see of $17.50 which is also a 65% increase from the current price, so whats the point?????
-TOU has more analyst coverage which are all BUYs, same as ARX.
Either way you are ridiculously wrong in stating the only asset TOU has is Mike Rose, yes he is an amazing asset every company, not just resource based companies, but all companies would love to have. I could go on as well about Topaz however the managers and the street all seem to agree that TOU is the better company, that's just a fact vs all of your specualtion about the future this and the future that.
Good luck with ARC, I'm sticking with TOU based on the facts
