OREA and NG IPO terminationWill this mean anything for OREA and Montagne d’Or? NG or Mordashov could face further US sanctions? He was placed on the sanctioned billionaire’s list back in 2018. But also placing the private company (held by 3 related Russian parties) under sanctions could be a different issue. How would France react to NG being hit by further US sanctions re., Montagne d’Or? Might such restrictions force a sale of non performing assets in FG or would NG just hold until any such anctions were eventually removed?
Further, NG pulling its IPO because gold pricing maybe affected by potentially rising interest rates. Really? Is there ever a calm for a mining IPO?
You’ve got to love gold miner investing in FG with a Russian entity facing environmental challenges and now the threat of sanctions, underpinned by a long anticipated but now withdrawn IPO.
