RE:Do you think they have received some preliminary feedback Analyzing the core for what it is is only part of the analysis, and is really only a small piece to developing reservoir/subsurface models. The real value of cores is that it allows you to "calibrate" or "corroborate" the other measurements. The logs and the seismic will all be analyzed in conjunction with the cores to more accurately determine what the reservoir looks like. Core on it's own isn't necessarily indicative of the formations over the entire reservoir, and instead, helps add clarity to the other measurements (logs and seismic). And due to the thickness of the potential pay zones, it is a ton of information to go through, I guess a downside to finding so much more than anticipated (but I'll gladly take it). And likely the public will not know the specific outcome of the core results on their own (it doesn't help anyone). Results will likely be released once all the seismic, logs, and cores are analyzed, and a reservoir model better defined. The real value of the cores is used in conjunction with all of the other measurements.
Hope this helps to explain why it's taking longer than may be expected. Any geologists on here will be able to elaborate further... or explain the process better
