I live on an island in SW BC. Half the island leaves in Oct/November and come back in March.
They go to Mexico,Costa Rica,Belize,Central,South America and Asia.
Don't tell me experienced miners prefer to stay in Mayo (population 200) where the temps go down to -60 when they can go anywhere south and work or vacation. People aren't that stupid.
