Whitecap Resources Inc. is an oil-weighted growth company. The Company is engaged in the business of acquiring, developing and holding interests in petroleum and natural gas properties and assets. Its core areas include the West Division and East Division. Its West Division is comprised of three regions: Smoky, Kaybob and Peace River Arch (PRA). The properties in its Smoky region include Kakwa and Resthaven, all located in Northwest Alberta. The primary reservoir being developed is the Montney resource play, mainly comprised of condensate-rich natural gas. Kaybob is located in the Fox Creek region of Northwest Alberta. The primary reservoir being developed is the Duvernay resource play, mainly comprised of condensate-rich natural gas. The PRA is its original asset area. Its East Division is comprised of four regions: Central AB, West Sask, East Sask and Weyburn. Its Central Alberta region represents the bulk of its Cardium and liquids-rich Mannville assets.

RE:If you don't believe me re: Dividend.Dividends aren't a factor.  1) Rotation to smaller caps 2) acquisitions cause selling 3) 35 million of new stock issuance 4) Uncertainty with OPEC and crude prices are all possible reasons. 5) lack of long term investors (bots and traders just want to flip to make a dime).  

WCP and SU are very different companies.  Oil sands vs. conventional, heavy crude vs light crude, large cap vs mid cap, crappy management vs grant fagerheim, integrated vs E&P.   So different in so many ways.    

Personally, I don't buy anything unless I am okay to hold for at least 2 years.   WCP will double its production from 2019 by 2022.   That is a lot of growth and growth isn't free.   We are feeling the short term side effects.
