Have fun.
Even if Lowry is wrong and it is a real deal, there is plenty room to accomodate 5-6 large scale projects to meet widely expected post 2025 EV surge.
The present EV growth surely raising question about ability of miners to supply enough Li and new projects annoncements are more then welcome. If not for them, Li EV future would be questioned.
There are two major problems with the announcements: hyper-optimistic timing and access to funds.
Recent turmoil in Li supply chain, when short-to-medium term oversupply spooked large number of investment put big question about the access to funds and only sure, cheap, large scale projects like NLC getting head start.
Announced 2024 target to explore source and build plant producing 60K Li sounds somewhat crazy. They would need pilot plant by 2022 and we are in 2021 now (I visited CT Thermal presentation and was not impressed with the progress).
So, "shake up lithium industry" sound like good marketing slogan, but unless Li rich asteroid hit Earth or we will hear Tony Stark level of invention in energy sector, "shake ups" are exxagerations at best.
