What does he mean by this? What are the implications of a richly mineralized core coming directly from the fault itself. The way he said the comment, it left me with he impression that this is unusual and therefore exceptionally good?
Would appreciate any comments that might shed light on the above.
BTW - I used the price weakness today to buy a second position in NFG. Agree with whomever suggested it, that today's PR may well have been a summary for potential US investors so that they can get up to speed quickly when the US listing begins. IMO - a very impressive PR with significant detail for deep pocketed investors.
You are probably correct about this news release giving US investors a summary of exploration details to date on the Queensway property. And that is the only intersection that I'm aware of through the Appleton fault itself and they hit 6.5 meters of 18 g/t at the Sunday Zone I think it was at the Appleton Fault itself. I think it's obvious the implications of that intersection because the Appleton Fault stretches through the entire 115 km Queensway property so I think he's implying it's possible the entire fault could have gold not only along the entire length but it could possibly be to a 1000 meter depth as he mentions in the video and is similar to Fosterville which goes down even deeper in some areas.
Personally I don't think the entire Appleton Fault will have gold like what was encountered at the Sunday Zone. The reason I don't think it will is because usually the pressure at the suture or fault is much greater than the surrounding rock so the hot fluids from deeper down carrying the gold gets squeezed into the fractures and offsetting faults coming off from the main fault. I think for the most part the Appleton Fault itself will be very narrow high grade gold.
But having said that it could still add up to a lot of ounces because of the overall length and depth of the Appleton Fault. But it's the offsetting faults and fractures on either side of this long suture in the earth's crust that will contain most of the gold. And because these zones are relatively narrow they are difficult to find and track through the ground because the orientation can be all over the place. So it is truly amazing that NFG has had so much early success. It makes me believe that this is a very robust high grade gold system with lots of high grade zones given that they now have at least 3 zones discovered in only a 2 km stretch and that number will be going up. This gold system is off the charts. Fosterville is the only thing that even comes close to it but I really think Queensway will make Fosterville look small. There is just so much high grade gold all over the place and the drill core is spectacular and over 30 meter intersections in some cases but even the smaller 5 meter intersections are above 100 g/t. Most gold companies consider 10 g/t to be high grade never mind 430 g/t. Absolutely incredible. Mind blowing!!
