It took 8 days from that post to get to $3 and even lower this morning. $2.61 is the last stop before everyone, except Fundmanager1944, gets off.
You can add me to the list of those who are staying. In fact, I'm buying more. Why would one get off now? Merit's factory is running now, demand for plant protein is huge and growing, more partnerships are in the making. The fact that Burcon has been a bit slower than expected and hasn't communicated perfectly doesn't mean the business potential isn't there.
Also, let's cut Burcon/Merit some slack: They established the factory in the middle of a global pandemic (their first factory, in fact), and they still managed to finish it within a reasonable time frame.
Are there things Burcon could do better to support shareholder value in the short term? Yes. But more important is the long term here, and in that regard, nothing has changed. The thesis is as good as it has been a year ago. In fact, even better. So all those posts on the board which imply that there is nothing of value in Burcon, are obviously not worth being taken seriously.
