Sierra Metals (SMTS) announced strategic alternatives

Sierra Metals (SMTS) announced strategic alternativesAlberto Arias has similar stock controlling interest in this polymetallic company, including metals other than Vanadium, with mines in Peru, his mining family home origin, and Mexico. SMTS previously gave a 10 August date for releasing their 2Q numbers and added  today that an update report of the 8 January announcement of seeking strategic alternatives would be released on that same10 August day, "if not sooner." Both companies have very little debt, have strong production numbers, have the Arias connection, and if combined in some way would have presence in Canada, the US, Mexico, Brazil and Peru, ie, covering both North And South America. Pure conjecture on my part, with many other alternatives out there. Lee Cooperman is a self described major stockholder there as well, and was critical at the last CC of management not releasing an update by that time. Worth watching, in my opinion, no matter results.
