INTERESTING

INTERESTINGGiant mine - also had - 8 open pits

Open pit mining began in - 1974

Here's a pic of just one of the ope npits -
Now i don't know about anyone else - but i'm seeing significant overburden soils
all along the open pit walls -  very limited rock.
This ot me suggests - Gaint mine could have been intune with - placer gold - right ot the bedrock - as only limited rock is seen in fragments -

Keep in mind - 8 open pits going  forward from - 1974 -  was there also gold atop the bedrock - was this placer gold ?

The majority of teports on the Giant only speak about the underground mining.

My question is - hpw many ounces were mined upto 1974 = and how many ounces mined thereafter from open pit mining ?

GIANT OPEN PIT - ONE OF 8 OPEN PITS

One can do a thesis study on the Giant underground mining til lblue in the face - but...
In my opinion - would this not be just 1/2 of the story ?
I would think - the open pits - all 8 of them - would need ot be factored in to have a complete scope the the Giant mine history.

What did thedrill core look like from Giant mine ?
Appears to be - argilite with fine veining ?

So, it also appears Sixty aswell has the - argilites -
Does one fully focus on the - MT  survey looking for massive sulphides - with a low resistivity ?

Just what does the Mon mine look like with a - MT  survey ?
The one sixty has up on website seems ot omit the coloration rsistivitry.

Should they look for a duplicate signature imprint same as - Mon Mine ?
Meaning -  if the MT  survey was showing the Mon Mine - look for same signature ?

What does the terenching signature show up as ?
Trenching near surface.
Does it show up as low resistivity or, high ?

I would think - reviewing the Mon Mine and the trenching and comparing what the MT  survey shows would be the right tihng to do for targeting drill pinpoints.

Low resistivity = non magnetic.
What about drillimng high magnetic - irons ?
If we scoot over to Cabin Lake NT here we find Rover hitting highly chloritized iron ores with big gold.

So.... low ressitivities or high resistivities ?

Cheers....
